Job versus Career

Dictionary.com defines Job as a regular activity performed in exchange for payment, especially as one's trade, occupation, or profession, while a career is defined as a person's progress or general course of action through life or through a phase of life, as in some profession or undertaking:

So what do you consider your employment as? a job or a career?

My colleague once told me that he has little aspiration to compete and work doubly hard as he sees more in family life than this job.. well, he consider this as a paid employment and not a lifelong career that he seek profession satisfaction through promotion..

Well, there is nothing socially wrong with his perspective although it seems professionally wrong since the organisation pay you to work for them...

Take a step back and think.. job or career.. well, its still a career for me as at now...
